Being serious about the Bible will not be popular with your friends, possibly your family, and at times, your government. Following Jesus Christ and what it is He says in the Bible is unsafe because it will cause changes in you to take place, and people will see that in you.
Following Jesus and establishing a Biblical worldview is following a life of nonconformity. The culture, at times, embraces ideas and ways of living that do not exactly conform to what a careful reading of the Bible says. This is really not new. Historically, a Biblical worldview has always been countercultural to the world's way of thinking and doing. Due to that, a Biblically based worldview may be perceived as dangerous, upsetting, backwards, and evil; and we are all in with that.
Our view at Calvary Chapel Martin County and The UnSafe Bible is simple, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” (Romans 1:16, NASB95)
We want to see lives changed by the saving power of Jesus Christ and discipleship take place as we grow together becoming more like Him. Thanks for joining us achieving the Great Commission and in being UnSafe to our culture.
