Your adventure awaits.

A careful reading of the Bible is rapidly becoming an inherently dangerous undertaking.  When you take the scriptures seriously, it will change your life.
The impact of the Bible is counter cultural everywhere in the world.  Being a Biblically based believer in Jesus Christ alters your worldview, thinking and changes you forever.
Theunsafebible.com is the teaching ministry of Pastor Ken Brown and Calvary Chapel Martin County.  It is made possible by Calvary Chapel Martin County and The UnSafe Bible, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that is dedicated to improving Biblical Literacy in this generation.   We want to be a place you can go to if you want to study and take the Bible, and what it says, seriously.  We want to see lives changed by Jesus Christ.
Being serious about the Bible will not be popular with your friends, possibly your family, and at times, your government.  Following Jesus Christ and what it is He says in the Bible is unsafe because it will cause changes in you to take place, and people will see that in you.
Following Jesus and establishing a Biblical worldview is following a life of nonconformity.  The culture, at times, embraces ideas and ways of living that do not exactly conform to what a careful reading of the Bible says.  This is really not new.  Historically, a Biblical worldview has always been countercultural to the world's way of thinking and doing.  Due to that, a Biblically based worldview may be perceived as dangerous, upsetting, backwards, and evil; and we are all in with that.
Our view at Calvary Chapel Martin County and The UnSafe Bible is simple, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” (Romans 1:16, NASB95)

We want to see lives changed by the saving power of Jesus Christ and discipleship take place as we grow together becoming more like Him.  Thanks for joining us achieving the Great Commission and in being UnSafe to our culture.

What is Biblical literacy?

We are currently suffering from a lack of wisdom and understanding in our culture.  It's obvious all around us and seems to be getting worse every day.  What's the source?  Here at the UnSafe Bible, we believe the problem is summed up in the term, Biblical Illiteracy.  Those who say they are Christians, many time do not act like it.  Then we hear folks attest to be Christians and watch them doing some of the most un Christlike things.. Why?

We simply do not know what is in the one book designed to provide the answers to how to live.  There are a lot of reasons for that but this is not the place where you will hear that.  Instead, we are all about teaching the Bible and seeing what it really does say.
